What Lies Ahead

All Things Girl is entering it’s 12th year of publication.  Pretty incredible.  And to be flat out honest:  so very exciting in so many ways.

Personally, I can’t believe a decade has passed since I joined All Things Girl in 2002.  I look back upon the stunning pieces by incredible women and am awe-struck.  I’m so honored to be a part of this tradition of quality art and literary presentations and so thankful for the fascinating and inspirational interviews that enhance our lives.

I feel so blessed to have such a talented team of women who approach their time here at All Things Girl with such passion!

As for the future, your task is not to foresee it, but to enable it.” ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery

We’re continuing on with the presidence set forth in 2012:  a quarterly magazine with mid-issue updates.  2013 will be the year of opposite pairs, lending each issue a rich potential for a wide variety of interpretations.  I’m trusting that the pairs we have chosen will inspire the literal and the fanciful amongst the creative women who share their talent with us and our readers. It’s a challenge – a gauntlet if you will – tossed out to see who can find their way to create pieces that reflect the essence and feel in broad, out-of-the-box kinds of ways, while still being true to their heart and mind.

Our 2013 Themes are:

  • Quarter One – Then & Now. Publishing January 02, 2013 with a mid-issue update of February 19, 2013.
  • Quarter Two – Fear & Courage. Publishing April 02, 2013 with a mid-issue update of May 21, 2013.
  • Quarter Three – Dark & Light. Publishing July 02, 2013 with a mid-issue update of August 20, 2013.
  • Quarter Four – Rise & Fall. Publishing October 01, 2013 with a mid-issue update of November 19, 2013.

We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas about the changes on tap for 2013. And I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Speaking of submissions, we are still accepting submissions for our  “Explore” and “Magic” issues

In other news, we are juggling the roles of our editors a bit and I’m looking forward to sharing that with you when the  “Explore” issue comes to you on July 3rd.

Keep an eye on the blog, because we’ve got a whole slew of exciting interviews, reviews, and inspirational notes on tap for you.

Here is to embracing delight, discovering joy, and being willing to make changes. As always, I hope you are finding much love and laughter in your life.

Love,
