Cover Girl: Dr. Carmen Harra, Ph.D. (Part II)

Carmen Harra

In Part One of our interview with Dr. Carmen Harra, we discussed her book and some of her beliefs. In part two, we continue that discussion, and wrap it up with her opinion about a resurgence of the Divine Feminine.

In your book, Wholeliness, you talk about the nine key ‘shifts in thinking’ that people have to make, beginning with begin aware of the rules of logic, and moving through opening up to the invisible world. Can you talk about those?

I think that people should always open to the invisible and pay attention to their dreams, pay attention to their instincts. I’m a firm believer that there are two levels of the mind, the left side of the brain that operates on the cognitive, and the right side on the subconscious mind.

For instance, if you have a recurring dream, that shows you that there is something there that you might be facing, or something you have to be aware of. Opening to the invisible is actually opening the subconscious mind, the part that stores 90% of your reality.

I also believe that we know everything about ourselves before it even happens – almost like we are born with a type of DNA that contains all memory within. I’m always helping people to understand and process all the information that they are receiving. For instance, when you wake up in the morning you have just an instinct to do something. So, taking charge of everything that is within, everything that you need to tap into, is extremely powerful. Again, it goes back to the same concept where you bridge all the levels of your being, then create a totality of who you are.

You have to ask yourself: are you just an individual, a particle, isolated, or are you a part of a greater whole? And when you see that you are part of the greater whole, and you plug yourself into this infinite source of energy, then you can bring into your life everything that you want.

I’m very confident in the idea that people should be able to identify their karmic relationships so that they can be healed. Because if you’re stuck, and isolate yourself, and feel lonely, then you know that there is some karma unprocessed and unresolved. I advise my readers to pay attention. They must identify and resolve their karmic issues because otherwise they will continue to feel blocked, but they will never know where the blockage is coming from.

If readers could come away from your book with just one, one thing what would you want that one thing to be?

I want them to celebrate holiness and unity, and to understand that this is exactly the nourishment that we need to transcend this challenging era. It’s the antidote to human suffering. So if any of you reading feel like you are in pain in your life, step into this holiness, the idea of unity, and you’ll see you are not going to be alone. You will feel protected by the universe, and by the people around you, and even those who are not around you. It’s just that reconnection, you know? It’s just connecting the dots in your life. Embracing holiness and unity will change everything globally and individually on earth.

Wholeliness

That’s a really beautiful thought.

I really believe that we all have such beauty within ourselves, that we are such beautiful creatures, but because we cannot see our change, or a picture of tomorrow, we act on fear. I think humanity’s fear of tomorrow is why we are so disturbed, and so angry with each other, and so dominated by negative emotion. Emotions can last from seconds up to years, and one emotion that can last forever is love. Love can heal everything, can erase everything, can make you wiser and unafraid before anything. So let’s step into love.

Thank you, Carmen. That’s a beautiful concept. Now, I want to ask you a little bit about the radio show that you do. Can you talk to me about that?

CH: So I have a radio show on Hay House Radio.com, and I’m very happy about this show. Hay House is probably the number one publishing house for spirituality, and gathers all these amazing spiritual minds. My show is once a week, on Thursday, from 11 A.M. to 12 [eastern time], and it’s a call-in show.

I want to raise consciousness. I want people to see how they can change their lives by applying all these ancient teachings, by using holiness, by healing their karma, by being in a fulfilled relationship, by bringing everything that’s missing, putting all the pieces of the puzzle together so they can feel good about their lives.

I’m so happy that people are calling me on Hay House. Before I even star the show, I see the lines are jammed which means the world needs to listen to any words of wisdom. I think that my radio show is a way to wake up people, and to bring good into their lives. I’m just their servant and I’m just here to help others lead better lives. So the show is called We Are One and we are really one. One world.

In addition to your writing and your counseling and your radio show, you have a musical background. I know you were a singer before anything else. Do you still sing?

Oh my God, yes. I released a song recently called “Don’t Want to Let Go.” It is a song about we don’t want to let go of the things that we feel we are stuck into. And I’m working on a new project, I’m actually working with people in Hollywood to do the story of my life, and I’m going to use my music, and I’m still going to do a new CD during the Fall.

Oh, that’s exciting!

Oh yeah! My God, I’m so excited about this project! I will always sing, as long as I am on this planet! There is nothing more beautiful than music. Music is harmony, and it’s balance, and… you know? Mozart, for instance, he had some health problems, and – I don’t know if anybody knew – but he used to create those sounds in such a way that he felt healed by the music.

You know, anybody can do this: if you want to heal your life, start singing. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a voice, just sing. Because not everybody has a voice, but we can all listen to music and even try to sing because it’s so beautiful and it’s such a healing power and it’s such a healing force.

I want to ask you one more thing, about an older blog post of yours, from your website. It was about women and being empowered. Can you speak about that?

I’m part of an organization in Washington originally established by the Secretary of State, and it’s dedicated to helping women all over the globe to get back in power. I believe in the divine feminine energy coming back in power. I believe that I’m going to see a woman president in the years to come in America.

I remember in 2000, I told the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when she was the First Lady, I told her in person that I could see her running in 2008. And in New York Post in 2003 in January, I said the same thing: “In 2008, you are going to see Hillary Clinton running against a Republican woman,” and that was 5 or 6 years before Sarah Palin was even known. So, I mention that just because I know that women will be there and will be there in a big way.

Women can achieve so much. If you go back in time 80 years ago, women didn’t even have the right to vote but look now: women can be wherever they want to be. They can be CEOs, they can be presidents of countries, they can accomplish so much.

You know for 2000 years we have been under a male dominant energy and that is changing. And talking about holiness, I really believe that in order for the world to be whole and in unity we have to put together the male and the female energy to create that wheel of life. I think that women are amazing forces and we’ll see them everywhere.
