Give us your “Elevator Speech” as to WHO you are and WHAT it is that you do for a “living”. And how should we “know” you?
I am a spiritual development life coach and a hypnotist who specializes in past life regression, which is the process of visiting the subconscious mind to uncovering memories from a past life.
A regression involves not only the actual remembering of who you were and what you did in a previous incarnation, but it can also help answer many of the questions that we all have about our current relationships, patterns of behavior, what happens after we die and beyond, and even the profound purpose of our existence.
As someone who has done extensive work uncovering my own past lives, I am an experienced guide on this incredible journey of self-discovery and mentor my clients through the inevitable life changes that occur after stepping into this process.
Tell us about your path to getting to where you are with your business today.
You know, I have learned a lot about how finding your calling, or what it is that you are meant to do, will attract the right people and situations at the right time through the process of establishing and growing my business.
When I was ready to find new office space, I randomly walked into a Starbucks and struck up a conversation with a woman next to me in line who, later that afternoon became my new landlord. She had the perfect property for my needs that she was looking to lease, and through the miracle of synchronicity we happened to meet. When I needed to grow professionally or learn a new skill, the client who would present that challenge to me would subsequently walk through my door.
This is not to say that it hasn’t been a tough road filled with rough spots, low moments, and even financial disasters, but there seems to have been a larger design at play here as I worked to get to where I am today. It has been amazing to watch my practice grow and the new opportunities arise, and I can’t wait to see what might happen next.
What is your personal “motto” or “mission statement?”
I would have to say that my personal motto is that it isn’t about searching for and finding who you really are, but rather to remember it.
We are all ancient, wise and eternal beings who are here for a profound and beautiful purpose, but we are born forgetting this. Perhaps we just need to remember how much we have already learned and accomplished over many lifetimes, and tap into the personal stores of wisdom we have worked hard to earn.
When seeking answers, we tend to look around us, or outside of ourselves, for guidance. We ask advice from others, whether it is a guru or a friend, about how we should be living our lives when perhaps these answers might already lie within. We just need to know where to find them.
Besides your business, what are you passionate about?
Besides my business, which really beautifully combines many of my interests including people, history, mysticism and the search for the unknown, I am truly passionate about planet earth.
I love to travel and discover new places, doing almost anything outdoors, plants and animals, and am dedicated to various environmental causes that work to preserve the beauty and diversity of our amazing home.
What advice would you give to other women wanting to follow your career path?
My advice for other women wanting to follow my career path is to never stop being a student. There is always more to learn, and more to experience.
Also, I would advise anyone looking to become a life coach of any type to really garner your love for people. Compassion is always an essential part of working with others, and the life coaching profession is truly one of service. If you don’t have a real love for, and connection to, your clients, then you don’t really have anything to share.
And, just like any entrepreneur, a business like mine requires a lot of patience, ambition, creativity, flexibility, hard work, and a rock-solid belief in yourself.
Pimp yourself! Where can we find you on the web, in bookstores, at the movies, on TV, etc.?
My website can be found at Michelle-Brock.com. I also write a blog dealing with various aspects of my work, including past lives and reincarnation, dream interpretation, psychic phenomena, soul mates, relationship issues, karma, and much more which can be found at Past Life Spiritual Practice at Blogspot. I have a fan page on Facebook and am on Twitter as well: @MichelleBrock.
What question should we have asked, that we didn’t? Now is YOUR opportunity to tell us what we missed?
I think the question I would most love to answer would be “Why would someone want do a past life regression? What does this do?”
My answer is that, not only can you find out more about yourself on a simple level such as why you love Indian food, surround yourself with Chinese artifacts, or have always been drawn to the city of Venice, but remembering your past lives can be a profound spiritual experience as well.
Through past life regression, we can heal the wounds we carry with us from past life traumas, and break karmic patterns that we have been entrenched in for centuries, which will allow us to move forward and take the next step in our spiritual evolution.
A past life regression can allow you to experience first hand that we do indeed survive death, and subsequently continue to exist and even return in a different form. This is a profound glimpse into the realm of the spiritual and eternal, and uncovering past life memories can change the way that you view your current life, as well as how you choose to live it. I believe that, in addition to having a life’s purpose, we can also have a soul’s purpose.
By finding this, and sharing the unique gifts we have cultivated over many lifetimes, we can help raise the vibration level of the entire planet and maybe even, through remembering where we have been and therefore finding out where we are going, make a positive impact on all beings everywhere.
